Polished Concrete

Concrete that has been mechanically processed at least 6 steps of grinding + using progressively finer diamond impregnated tooling & pads, which is then treated with a densifier treatment during the process. Dye can be applied to enhance and decorate the surface as well as other features like saw cutting, scoring, grids, bands, logos and many other options.

Hybrid Polished Concrete

3 Step process poor mans polished concrete with minimal grinding or honing or burnishing with floor buffers.

Stained Concrete

Stained concrete is a time-tested proven beatification process for concrete surfaces. Acid stain is not paint or a coating, rather it’s a coloring process involving a chemical reaction on a cementitious material suck as overlay toppings or concrete slabs. A solution made with water, acid, and inorganic salts react with minerals already present in the concrete, and the result of this reaction is color. Also, Acetone and water base dyes are available and can be sealed with a sealer.

Sealed Concrete

sealers protect the concrete surface from damage, corrosion, and staining. They either block the pores in the concrete to reduce absorption of water and salts or form an impermeable layer, which prevents such material from passing into the concrete substrate.

Concrete Floor Prep & Floor Covering Demolition

Surface Preparation is an extremely important part of any decorative concrete solution. Whether it is removing existing coatings, adhesives, thin sets or impurities, or if its for the purpose of leveling and or profiling the concrete substrate to apply other material, surface prep done correctly ensure proper bonding and long-lasting results to your concrete substrate.

Underlayment’s, Leveling & Toppings

Overlayment & Toppings are a thinner cementitious material of Portland or calcium aluminate make up that adhere to the existing properly prepped surface providing a new flat surface. Unlike conventional concrete mixes overlays can be poured as this as 3/8” or as thick as 2 inches with 24-hour cure times and have very low risk of delamination. These products are ready for traffic, coatings, processing of polishing the next day and are faster than most repair options.

Resinous Epoxy, Urethane Flooring, Polyaspartic Flooring

Epoxy & Urethane Coatings are floor surfaces that are made up of multiple layers of different coatings that are applied to multiple depths. These coatings should be applied thicket than 9 millimeters otherwise this would be called floor painting. Epoxies & urethanes are made up of 3 main components- Resins, Hardeners & Aggregates Resins, hardeners and aggregates are mixed together where they chemically react to form a ridged plastic material that is strong, chemical resistant to degradation, and bonds extremely well to its substrate.

Control Joint Fillers & Spall Repair

Contraction/control joints are placed in concrete slabs to control random cracking. A fresh concrete mixture is a fluid, plastic mass that can be molded into virtually any shape, but as the material hardens there is a reduction in volume or shrinkage. When shrinkage is restrained by contact with supporting soils, granular fill, adjoining structures, or reinforcement within the concrete, tensile stresses develop within the concrete section. While concrete is very strong in compression the tensile strength is only 8 to 12 percent of the compressive strength. In effect, tensile stresses act against the weakest property of the concrete material. The result is cracking of the concrete.

Curled Slab Edge Repair

Also referred to as edge-curling, it’s the lifting of a slab or topping at its corners and/or edges. You’ll see cracks or deterioration around the perimeter edge, and a noticeable up-lift at perimeter edge and on saw cut joints when checked with a straightedge. Dimensional differences between the slab surface and sub-surface caused by shrinkage. The side that faces the sun dries first and shrinks while the other side stays wet and does not. The resulting tension causes the concrete to curl or warp similar to a wet board in the sun. These areas are fixed buy a foam injection process once the areas are identified and noted for repair. Once injected into the voids beneath the slab, the stabilizer foam expands six to eight times its original dimension, and cures into a rigid, high density foam which fully supports the slab load, and reduces or eliminates deflection within 45 minutes of installation.
